Editorial standards

Editorial independence
SoleraEase accepts no paid placements, no commission-based rankings, no sponsored content, and no influencer arrangements. No brand pays to appear on our site, to move up our rankings, or to influence the wording of a review. Editorial decisions are made by the editorial team and signed off by the editor; no advertiser sees a review before it publishes.
How affiliate relationships work
SoleraEase participates in affiliate programs and earns commissions on qualifying purchases. Those commissions fund the publication; they do not change which products win our rankings. A product that earns Editor's Choice does so because it wins the rubric, not because it pays the highest commission rate.
The full list of programs we participate in lives on the affiliate disclosure page.
Scope of our reviews
SoleraEase reviews consumer-grade products purchased through consumer retail channels: Amazon, Walmart, manufacturer direct, and similar mainstream outlets. We are not affiliated with institutional procurement programs, clinical supply chains, or government purchasing schedules; our reviews are framed for individual readers buying for themselves, not for purchasing officers.
Sourcing
Claims about a product's build, performance, or fit are sourced from manufacturer specifications, large-sample owner reviews, and published research where applicable. We do not invent specifications, fabricate testimonials, or attribute opinions to people who did not state them. Where a claim is editorial judgment rather than a sourced fact, the wording makes that clear.
Corrections policy
If you spot an error in a review (an incorrect specification, an out-of-date price band, a misattributed quote), please email the editorial team via the contact page. We aim to acknowledge correction requests within five business days. Substantive corrections are logged in an update note at the top of the affected page so returning readers can see what changed.
Methodology updates
SoleraEase revises the Solera Score rubric periodically as the product categories we cover evolve. The current criteria live on the how we review page, which always reflects the methodology in force today. When the rubric changes in a way that affects rankings, we backfill scoring across the affected category and note the change.
